SPP - Photo Shoot

I finally finished the dress, I wasn't sure if I was going to make it.
We went out today and took a ton of pictures.  It was very sunny out, but they turned out pretty good.  Someday I would love to go to a historical mansion and get some period style pictures.

Making this dress has been so much fun I hope I took enough pictures to show you all everything.
Here they are, Enjoy!!!

I love your trim pattern.
so you chose to use the ball bodice and changed the bolero around a bit?

I draped a seperate pattern for the overbodice, It is completly seperate from the ball bodice. I didn't even think to play with the bolero pattern wish I had, hmmmm now you got me thinking :-) I posted a picture of my inspiration for the over bodice idea in part 4.

On the side I love your elphaba outfit and the doll. I am curious how tall are the tonner dolls? They are just lovely!! And so is your new dress!!!

Elphaba is 16" tall.
I was reluctant to make the dress full sized as I am a young mother. While I do have an event to wear this dress to, I would not be able to as I am now pregnant again, which was bound to happen. someday I won't be stuck making costumes that are maternity or nursing friendly, someday.

What a small world. As I was finishing this project I found out that I am expecting, so I was rushing to finish it while I could still wear a corset.:-)

congrats! If you are ever interested in costuming your young one, or need maternity/nursing ideas for yourself. I tend to collect info on those subjects.
